Herbology
Herbology is the study of plants and herbs, and the crafting of plant based potions.
Herbology is a playable skill, however, most herbologists are NPCs. Herbology is a folk-lore based science that is fairly common. Every village will have at least one herbologist.
Most potions have standard recipes that have been formulated through centuries of trial and error. These potions use extracts of plants known for their specific properties.
Potions can be improved using magic, and some special potions are attainable only by the infusion of magic spells into the preparation of another common potion during its preparation. Such potions require a Mage and Herbologist working together, or that the crafter is proficient in both herbology and Magery.
