Prince's Crossing
Prince's Crossing is a walled city protected by Connaught Castle. It houses a population of about 15,000 within the wall, plus an additional 5,000 in neighboring communities, manors, and farms.
Policies within the walled city proper are decided by a council of elected officials in conjunction with the Jarl of Connaught and his county council. Law enforcement and protective services fall under the Jarl's control and are facilitated by his military/police force known as “the Spears”.
Many businesses flourish in the city and a wide variety of local products and imports can be found here as well as an abundance of services. Most of the shops are on ground level, with residences above. Small residences occupy all the non-commercial spots.
Each block fronts 5 to 10 storefronts or housefronts. A typical shop owner lives in modest comfort above his shop with his family, and may rent out the third floor to tenants. A typical block of this composition houses approximately 1601) residents on average. However, the poorest blocks are 10 narrow fronts, and a second set off the back alley, for a total of 40 dwellings. With up to four floors, and up to 10 residents per home, these blocks can house up to 16002) per block in very squalid conditions!

UNDER Prince's Crossing
An old network of tunnels exists beneath the city. Roughly following the perimeter walls is a network of tunnels through and in the wall foundations, with some extensions into the city itself. Access points include all the guard towers. The main perimeter tunnels are used regularly by “the Spears”. most of the inner extensions have fallen into disrepair and been sealed off. Locked and forgotten access points are located in the Rampart Hotel, Ancient Artifacts, the Niner, the Unified Church, & the public library.
