The end of Denier begins the long [[winter]] period of solitude and fasting. Some see this as a continuation of Denier, though it is officially Auril which last for approximately five months.
-County citizens are not discouraged from venerating other deities apart from the official pantheon, and many do, particularly racial gods and gods of trade. Thus it is not uncommon to hear other oaths beside "by the 8".
