What are my royalty rates? – Our standard target royalty rate is 10% of gross cover price.
Can I sell a ton of copies of my book? – That depends. How good of a salesman are you?
Will you help me sell my book? – Yes, we will do what we can to use our existing sales channels.
Will you give away free copies of my book? – Yes, we routinely give away promotional copies of eBooks only. We have found this to be invaluable in terms of building your recognition and reputation as an author, and garnering an organically growing set of readers and followers who will be much more likely to buy your books in the future.
Will you get my book into bookstores? – Not exactly. Our process ensures that your book meets industry standard for brick-and-mortar bookstore compatibility. However, there are extra costs involved in getting visibility to those bookstores, so we leave this step out unless the author is willing to pay a nominal fee ($100) to make it happen. If you choose this option, it doesn’t mean that a bookstore WILL order your book, but it does mean that they CAN. The typical self-publishing route includes many pitfalls in this regard, and many authors unwittingly short-circuit or roadblock the bookstore market. We avoid these pitfalls and ensure that the process for bookstore orders is 100% seamless.
Have you actually sold any books in bookstores? – Yes.
Will you make an eBook of my book? – Yes. We will convert your book into eBook format and make it available on Amazon Kindle. Expanded ebook retail markets are also available, but compared to Amazon, their market share is negligible and does not justify the additional setup cost involved so we typically leave this out unless the author is willing to pay an extra fee. Expanded ebook distribution would include all major eBook retailers, including Amazon Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Books, Barnes & Noble ebook store, and more.
Will this cost me anything? – Our Standard Package costs you nothing. You will be expected to purchase a minimum order of 20 copies at wholesale author rates of $10/copy, which you can then sell, so you will actually make a profit.
Will you send me a case of books? – No. You may order batches of your book from us, at wholesale rates, to facilitate your own sales, friend & family giveaways, etc, or to use for whatever you want really. We recommend batch order sizes of between 10 and 20 copies.
