‘Friday Evening – Verses of vivid moods’ is my debut anthology in English. This collection of picturesque poetry comprises one hundred poems that deal with vivid colours of life. The poems range in tone and theme, yet all are connected by the undercurrents of love, nature, nostalgia, and the nuances of my Canadian journey. They echo the anticipation and the transition of merging into Canadian society while retaining the essence of my Indian roots. Some of the poems echo the myriad memories from my forty-one years in India, serving as a testament to the universality of the human experience.
My editor poet Scott Thomas Outlar writes in his blurb … readers are taken on a journey through the eyes of a poet who is keenly observant of aspects that the modern technological world has often lost sight of: the natural world. Mr. Jain also explores characteristics of consciousness in his poetry using a satirical lens when he touches on the absurdity of tyrannical leaders and the detrimental impact of their egos on society throughout the ages.
Friday Evening will be available soon from Dimensionfold Publishing
