RK Rugg is a transplant from the American West to New England, where he works in office technology sales by day and in Speculative Fiction, Speculative Nonfiction and Speculative Poetry by night. A non-Native, his work is influenced by having grown up on the Flathead Reservation of Northwest Montana and it often explores issues of identity and community, what it means to be a ‘person’ and what it means to be ‘the other.’ Publications in which Rugg’s speculative poetry has appeared or is upcoming include Abyss & Apex, Utopia, Snakeskin and Asimov’s.
